Improving ResearchEase

ResearchEase has been working very hard in updating office equipment, internet marketing tools and skills set.

In terms of office equipment, it is having everything ready so Researchease is easily accessible to potential and current clients. So of course we are available by Skype...reneeboucaud is the contact name to search for...and we have a web cam and mike ready!

Internet marketing tools that ResearchEase uses and updates are Facebook, Twitter and the two ResearchEase blogs, this one on Blogger.com and the other on Wordpress.com. (for Yoga lovers, please see  http://www.caribbeanyogi.info/ - a Blogger.com).

Skillset is very important. This will involve updating my Microsoft Office skills, as I am pursuing the Microsoft Office Specialist certification. I have also just completed a voice certification, as a means of improving my communication skills. constant update and maintenance of my skillset is terribly important, and believe me, there will be more to come.

Stay tuned!

Find A Qualified Virtual Assistant In The Caribbean

The Caribbean Association of Virtual Assistants now offer a RFP center where business owners can submit a request for services and receive proposals from CAVA members. Potential clients are guaranteed to receive proposals from some very qualified professionals in the Caribbean. Members of the association must undergo rigorous screening and provide proof of their qualifications. Members are also required to provide references and agree to uphold the standards of the virtual assistant industry. The Caribbean Association of Virtual Assistants is committed to the satisfaction of its members and clients. In addition to the RFP center, the Caribbean Association of Virtual Assistants also feature a growing member directory and a resource center for both clients and virtual assistants, including a guide for hiring a virtual assistant. “As the virtual industry continues to grow, it seems that everyone wants to become a virtual assistant. The result is that the industry continues to attract a few people who are not qualified to earn the title of virtual assistant. They are just looking to earn a quick buck without a commitment to the success of the clients that they sign on,” states Crystal Redhead-Gould, founder of CAVA. “At CAVA we have done the work to separate the professionals from those that are less than committed.” The membership at CAVA currently feature virtual assistants in the Caribbean. The directory of members continues to expand as more and more seasoned professionals open their virtual doors. The main benefit of hiring a virtual assistant in the Caribbean is the ability to hire experienced professionals at affordable rates. In some cases up to 20-40% lower than those found in the US and Canada. Virtual assistants in the Caribbean can offer lower rates due to slightly lower cost of living. How to Work With Flexible Hours as a VA

You’re based at home, you’re working in your office at home. How do you use your flexible hours to the best of your ability?

Focus on your projects – the most important thing is to get your required contracted work completed. Concentrate on your immediate job goals.
Get the house work done at appointed times – allocate hours of the day when you can concentrate on the projects at hand, and leave household chores for other times.
Enjoy your work-focused time, so you can enjoy your off-time – let work be work and let play be play, and your efficiency will be at its peak, because you are fully concentrating on whatever task is at hand
Take pride in your work – remember that first and foremost you are a business, and your work is a reflection of yourself.

What Exactly is a Virtual Assistant

A Virtual Assistant is an independent contractor…an entrepreneur.

This field is a very exciting one to be in…mainly because you are fully responsible for your career.

Virtual Assistants draw jobs to themselves, and perform these jobs with a professionalism that is necessary because their jobs are a reflection of themselves.

Rather than work for only one employee, a Virtual Assistant, maintains both long term and short term projects for different business entities. A lot of the work is project-based. Should a long term contract come about that involves professional and effective working relationship between a VA and another party, then that in itself is a great thing.

Bu the flexibility is e selling point with this job…it empowers one in ways that possibly a 9 to 5 job never will for someone else.

As a VA you must have vision…vision to see a project though to its finality and to fulfill every goal and more that the project requires.

This is a fulfilling career move, and one than can bring about great satisfaction both career wise and personally.
